Fish Burrito Anyone?

While my honey was grilling the other day, I wrapped a tilapia fillet in foil with seasoning and olive oil and had him grill it for my lunch the next day.

I ended up with a pretty delicious fish taco wrap which was too large to actually wrap.  It tasted really good but it was sort of runny and made a huge mess.

Fish Taco Wrap Ingredients
1- whole grain tortilla
1 grilled fillet of tilapia seasoned to taste.
shredded cabbage
2 tbsp fat free yogurt
2 tbsp salsa
1 or 2 tbsp cheddar or monteray jack cheese grated
I had an avocado to put on it but I forgot to use it.

Warm tortilla.   Cut fillet into strips and place on tortilla. (I had to warm the tilapia first as it was grilled the day before.)

In small bowl, mix the yogurt and salsa.  Mix in the shredded cabbage and toss until cabbage is covered.

Place cabbage on top of fish and tortilla.  Add shredded cheese and advocado if you want.
Roll into burrito and eat.  Mine was a little too big to roll so I sort of ate it like a taco.

On the fitness front:

I have learned after reading books such as Body-for-LIFE for Women: A Woman's Plan for Physical and Mental Transformation and Fit and Fabulous After 40: A 5-Part Program for Turning Back the Clock that as much as I just want to run, I need to add strength training to my exercise routine.  Yeck!  I hate strength training.  I do have a weight bench and free weights from my past attempts at strength training. Yeck!

It worries me to change up my routine because when I was just running, I stuck with it.  I have been running consistently for 10 months now.  I don't know why I have stuck with running when I never stuck with anything else.  If I change my routine, I might fall off the exercise wagon for some unknown reason.  At least when I was just running I could say I exercised every day.

It turns out that after 40 we start losing muscle mass and running alone is not going to help me out with this.  There is no getting around it.  I have to strength train.  So here is my new exercise schedule...

Monday:  Run 40 to 50 minutes.
Tuesday:  Weight train with free weights for 40 minutes including 10 minutes of abs in that 40 minutes.
Wednesday:  Run 40 to 50 minutes.
Thursday:  Do my compbo cardio and strength training DVD (Brazil Butt Lift - Workout DVD ) alternating between High and Tight and Sculpt and do abs.  (I like this DVD series too much to give it up)
Friday:  Run 40 to 50 minutes.
Saturday:  Shiva Rea: Daily Energy - Vinyasa Flow Yoga DVD and start signing up for at least 1 5K per month.

Okay.  So I didn't exactly add too much strength training.  I only added it 1 day a week.  I've got to make sure that I make this as fun as I can so I will stick to it, and I am just not sure that I can do strength training more than once a week.  I figure the Brazil Butt Lift and Vinyasa Yoga still help to build muscle while being far more entertaining than those darn free weights.  BBL actually uses the weights in the routines.

Wish me luck with this new routine.  It scares me.

Do you have trouble switching up your routine?

Do you find there is only one type of workout you can stick to?

Do you strength train and does it bore you to death?
