Death by Nutter Butter Banana Pudding

One more day until Halloween and we have been busy around here! As an added bonus, my stepdad's birthday is the day before Halloween so we have double the excuse to make fun Halloween recipes.

Today we made Nutter Butter Banana Pudding for R's birthday and followed that up with white chocolate mummy pretzels.

Nutter Butter Banana Pudding (adapted from myrecipes.com) (We doubled this recipe for banana pudding death)
Ingredients
3 cups milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract
(6-oz.) package Jell-O Banana Pudding Mix
1 (8-oz.) container sour cream
5 medium-size ripe bananas
1 (1-lb.) package peanut butter sandwich cookies
2 cups Cool Whip

Directions

1. Place 3 cups milk and vanilla in large bowl; add banana instant pudding mix. Beat with an electric mixer at medium speed 2 minutes or until thickened; let stand 5 minutes. Stir in sour cream.

3. Meanwhile, cut bananas into 1/4-inch slices.

4. Spoon half of pudding mixture into a 3-qt. bowl. Top with bananas and cookies. Spoon remaining pudding mixture over bananas and cookies. Top with whipped topping. Cover and chill 2 to 24 hours.

 White Chocolate Mummy Pretzels
Ingredients
White Chocolate Bark
Rod Pretzels
Wilton Mummy Pretzel Mold
Candy Brush Assortment
Green Food Coloring

Melt bark in a double broiler.

Place spoonful of chocolate in small bowl and add green food coloring.  Ours seized up and we had to add water.

Paint green eyes in mummy form.  Fill form halfway with white chocolate, add rod pretzel, fill the rest of the way with chocolate.

Allow to cool and remove from mold.

We rolled the pretzel sticks in the left over chocolate and covered with Halloween sprinkles.

Lots of Halloween treats!  Tomorrow we will be making an Apple Cream Cheese Bundt Cake and trick-or-treating an awesome Louisiana neighborhood.  Oh how I love this holiday!  Have a wonderful Halloween and be safe!
