Not The Sharpest Tool...

Do you find yourself mushing your onions instead of chopping them?  My knives have become so dull a mushed onion is the best I can do.  There is supposed to be a excellent "knife sharpening guy" at the markets on Saturdays but for some reason he has never been there when I manage to wrap up my knives and remember to go in search of knife sharpening.

So I decided to learn how to do it myself.

I can't tell yet if my knife sharpening skills produced any results. I tried chopping a carrot (the only veggie I had available) and the "sharpened knife" seemed about the same as the "dull knife".
